A journey through time in every sip !

Let yourself be seduced by Carenum, a delicate and silky sweet wine inspired by an ancient recipe described by Palladius, a 4th-century Roman agronomist. Crafted in our reconstructed Gallo-Roman cellar, it ferments with plants and defrutum, a grape juice concentrate boiled and flavored with quinces.

Its perfect balance of sweetness and complexity reveals indulgent notes of quince and subtle aromas of candied peaches. Served lightly chilled, Carenum pairs wonderfully with foie gras, fruity desserts, blue cheeses, or can simply be enjoyed at the end of a meal for a moment of pure pleasure.

👉 This wine is produced at Mas des Tourelles, a unique vineyard located in Beaucaire, where experimental archaeology allows the recreation of ancient wines in accordance with historical methods.
The estate also welcomes visitors for a full immersion into the world of Roman-era viticulture.
